Privacy Policy
Miradero Cybersecurity (“Miradero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through miraderocs.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies only to the Site. Information we handle while delivering security services to clients is governed by our client agreements.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out our contact or assessment form, we collect:
- your name and email address (required)
- your company name and phone number (optional)
- anything you write in the message field
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security provider automatically processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of each request. We use this to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.
Information from others
We do not buy personal information, and we do not combine Site data with data from data brokers.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule the assessment or conversation you asked for
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Site
- To detect and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only as follows:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract, including our website hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), our email delivery provider (Resend), and our business email provider. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Miradero, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers, as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. “Similar technologies” include browser local storage. We group them into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the Site to work and stay secure, such as remembering your cookie choice. These are always on.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- Marketing: used to measure or personalize advertising.
What we use today: the Site uses only strictly necessary storage. We save your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again on every page. We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. Our hosting and security provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the Site from malicious traffic. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this Policy and use them only if you choose “Accept All.”
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may mean we ask for your choice again.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don’t sell or share personal information to begin with, but if your browser sends GPC, we treat marketing cookies as declined no matter which button you choose. There is no industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals, so we do not respond to them separately.
How long we keep information
We keep contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting business relationship, and then for up to three years unless a longer period is required by law or needed to resolve disputes. Technical logs kept by our hosting provider are retained according to that provider’s standard retention periods.
How we protect information
Security is our business. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and vetted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@miraderocs.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. See our CCPA Notice for details and how to exercise them.
Visitors outside the United States
Miradero is based in the United States, and the Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are material, we will give additional notice where appropriate.
